You
Work at Home?
Poor You.
About 20 years ago I had a business at
home. (shhhhh. Back then it was a disgrace. It meant that I
couldn't afford an office.) I remember calling a supplier for some
kind of product, and when I gave her the delivery address she said very
snidely, "Oh, you're not one of thooooose people are you? You have
to work at home." The clear indication was that she wasn't going
to place my order if I couldn't even afford an office.
My, how times have changed. I
stopped by my bank last week and the young person at the counter said
admiringly, "Wow! You get to work at home. Don't you just
love it!"
Yep. I do just looooove it. I
love the convenience. I love the fact of no overhead. I love
the flexibility. I love the challenge of my own business.
And I love the money. Honestly, I don't think there is an employer
in the world who would pay me what I make from my home business.
I'm not a millionaire, but I do quite nicely.
And you can too. There are just so
many possibilities. Whatever your reason for staying at home, take
a minute to review all the possibilities. I just wrote a
Knol for Google that outlines some of the options, and the best way
to choose a topic for a home business.
