The Scoop on Network Marketing

The term "network marketing" conjures up visions of pushy sales people chasing prospects through a parking lot.  That's because "network marketing" is sometimes confused with MLM ("multi level marketing").  In fact, they are quite different.

Network marketers are the top of the line online business people.  They work hard to develop multiple streams of income.  And they are very respectful of people who visit their sites.  Honest.

In fact, all online business sites, whether they are service business sites, product sales sites, travel sites, membership sites, or any other kind of website, are all part of the network marketing phenomena.  All of these sites are looking to sell something on the web.  And THAT's the network marketing specialty.

When writing your business plan, it may not hurt at all to use the term "network marketing" to describe the website you are developing, and talk about all the multiple streams of income that you are planning in addition to your primary monetization.  This is the kind of planning that impresses every single lender.

Take a look at Your Network Marketing Coach to get a better idea of the nature of these "steams of income".  See what you can do to incorporate them into your website, and into your brick and mortar business.

Financing a network marketing business is no easier than financing a typical online business, and may also require only a microloan.  For those with more adventuresome plans, venture lending is a real option.

Too Good To Miss

Several people recently have told me about a free image program.  It's called "Paint.net", but is accessible at www.getpaint.net . I downloaded and tried it.

This is a powerful program.  It uses layers to create stunning effects, with every bell and whistle that you could imagine.

But it has a couple of serious drawbacks.  One is that there is no documentation.  If you are a great intuitive learner, fine.  I suspect, too, that if you have experience with Adobe PhotoShop you will really like this program.  If you don't have that experience, well you are out of luck.  The "tutorials" are actually forum based discussions from testosterone driven teenagers who love shiny cars.  They have been saying for three years that they will create a lesson or two for beginners, but it still isn't there.

Here are samples of some great business plans.  Over 400 of them.  In hundreds of different areas.  Because you could use a good idea or two, this is a great place to find it.

Your Free Business Plan

Christmas Ornaments

While it's nice to have a Christmas business plan during the holiday season, forget that it is geared to Christmas.

This is actually a very nice business plan for a home based business.

The very first line of the business plan acknowledges that it is home based.  Then it goes on to present very nice sections on public relations, advertising, accounting, the industry, experience of the owners, etc.  It even nicely melds local opinion with national research.
