Internet Business Plan

There is one type of "internet business plan" that is a business plan that you put online.  While these can be very useful, they don't take the place of hard copy business plan.

The internet business plans that are most in demand are business plans for you to build your own online business.  Now THOSE are important.  Seeing how others have constructed these business plans can be very helpful as you write your own.

There's been a huge surge in interest in internet business plans, probably because this is one of the rare businesses that can actually be conducted entirely from home, and because there is a strong income potential.

Your internet business startup can be large or small, information based or product based, be an extension of an existing business or be a brand new business.  There are lots of business models that just work, and work well, with an internet component. There are a lot of business that just work well on the internet, even without a brick and mortar counterpart.  The business can be something you know well, or something you want to learn about.

For WAHM businesses, it may not be necessary to raise financing.  If you do need some funding, look to microloans or peer to peer loans.  Larger startups will likely look to angel networks for funding.  Banks are not out of the question either -- see what one person accomplished.

The true key to funding your internet business plan is to take it as far as you can by yourself.  The more you can demo to a lender, the better off you are.

I have nothing against alternative medicine.  In fact, I highly respect its powers.  But this business plan ... yeeeesh.  I just couldn't believe it was still being used as a "good example".  Take a look.

Now, tell me, how much money are they looking for?  What skills do they have to make this project a reality?  There are at least 62 other failings in this business plan, but I didn't want to take the time to read it.

Whoever wrote this just doesn't realize that business plans have gotten a lot more sophisticated.  Most business plans now do a far, far better job of selling the idea and the principals.  It looks nice, but that pretty face isn't going to get a lot of funding.

The good news is that there are a whole of business plans out there just like this one.  And yours will be so much better there won't even be a comparison.
