I have and idea to open a small coffee shop near 2 city colleges. I have written my version of a pretty good business plan. My questions is what's next what should be my next step to get the idea off the paper.
Answer
Korrine, it sounds like you are well on your way. Congratulations. And what a location! As for how to proceed, you have two options:
1. This is my first choice. Review Start Up Right Now, our premier start up guide. This will take you through a slew of checklists and worksheets to make sure your bases are covered. It will also help you you review the financial aspects of your new business, and the possible funding sources. This is the best starting point for most entrepreneurs.
2. Then, should you need outside funding (and most entrepreneurs do), look to our business plan for Coffee Shop. This is the business plan workbook with a template, financial worksheets, workbook and links to other business plans. This is the business plan you need to create your business proposal to fund your new business.
You are embarking on a wonderful journey. We wish you every success along the way!
