Business Plan for Mattress Store

Richard, truthfully, I am not certain if a specific plan is included for a mattress store. But I am certain that it is not terribly important. The mattress store that you open would not be the same mattress store that your cousin would open, and they could both be wildly successful. Having a "model" could be very limiting to both of you.

Rather than try to tell you which suppliers to use, etc., we work on the premise that you essentially know your industry, i.e., mattress retailing. We know business plans, both business plans that raise money and business plans that help you get started. With both kinds of knowledge handy, you are well on your way to success.

When looking through other business plans, look to see what options they considered, how they presented different types of information, and how they generated interest in their business. It is difficult to emphasize too much that this has to be YOUR business, not someone else's.

Both of the business plans noted above outline the various types of funding available. The Start Up Guide actually goes into more detail. The Basic Business Plan for funding focuses on a strong presentation for a bank or SBA lender. Choose the one that fits your step on the ladder, and keep on climbing.
