Today's Top Tip
Online business plan scams are alive and doing very well. There's even a new wrinkle: the "crowd funding". Trust me, no one makes money but the promoters in this scheme.Stop by any day for a new Top Tip of the Day
It is tough to write a cemetery maintenance business plan with any teeth in it because they are all so different. Some cemeteries are operated by governments -- local, state or national. Some are run by special districts. And some are privately owned. Each of these entities is going to have a different requirement for maintenance, and a different spec sheet.
Our best recommendation is to take the time to read the full Request For Proposal (RFP) very carefully. Sometimes complete services are required, year round on a scheduled basis. Sometimes the cemetery maintenance business proposal will call for specified services for specified periods of time, or for a certain number of times throughout the year.
This can be an excellent business opportunity, especially for those companies that already have the equipment and already have contracts in the general vicinity of the specified cemetery.
In all honesty, in presenting your Proposal, you may or may not want to follow the template that is enclosed with the 7 Step Cemetery Maintenance Business Plan.
You will likely find it far more useful to gather all the information that is requested, including financials, biographicals, etc., and have everything ready to put together your own proposal. Then, when you have the RFP in hand, go through item by item, and pull out the information that you will need.
Gathering this information ahead of time will make life a lot
easier than waiting until the last minutes.

My father also taught me that reputation, not money,
was the most important thing in the world. He said, "You know,
when you die, the only thing you're going to die with is the
reputation you created as a person when you lived. All the money in
the world isn't going to make you a better person.
