Floral Shop Business Plan

Absolutely become an apprentice. That is exactly what we recommend in our floral shop business plan publication. We also have a brand new publication that will help you: Start Up Right Now. Between those two, you will find hundreds of pages to help you start up and finance your new business. And, with the recommendation of an experienced flower shop owner on your site, financing will be a lot easier for you to obtain. When you are ready to open, you might consider setting up an informal Advisory Board, with your mentor on the Board. This Board would have no real authority, but would simply be available to answer questions for you, AND can be listed in your business plan for financing.

Congratulations on taking the time now to develop a strong flower shop business plan. It will serve you well as your own business becomes a reality!

Flower Shop Start Up Business Plan

Mable, I was in the same situation you are now. I have always loved flowers, gardens, arrangements, and just working in that environment was so pleasant for me. I wanted a flower shop, but I didn't know where to begin. So I went to work for a flower shop about 50 miles away as an apprentice. I told Donna (the owner of the other flower store) that I was working on creating my own flower store business plan, but I needed experience. She was soooooo helpful. I learned all about how to bill, what to charge, how to advertise, where to buy things. It was a long drive every day, but the experience was so worth it. In exchange for all the help she gave me, I worked in her store for free for six months. I don't know if I really needed six months, but I wanted to work through a Christmas season and through a Mother's Day, two of our really big days. I started my own floral shop about two years ago and even though times have been tough, I am proud of what I have accomplished. So try becoming an apprentice. I think it will really be worthwhile for you.
