The term "free government business loans" is actually a contradiction. A "loan" isn't quite free -- you will still be paying interest on it.
However, as most people use the term, it can refer to a number of different government programs and services. It is never easy latching onto government funding of any kind, so let's see what we can do to make your quest a bit easier.
Free Government Grants are one of the first places that many entrepreneurs look. While it is indeed true that there are not grants for everyone, there are grants for some. It can be challenging finding just the right grant for your business, but it may be there.
Business Funding Grants come from all sources of government -- local, regional, state and federal. There are even some international sources for free government business loans that you may want to take a look at.
The trick to acquiring a government business grant is matching the needs of the grant to your business. It is quite a skill. But if you can show that your business matches the needs of an existing program, you are well on your way.
A grants directory may be your best source for finding business grants of all kinds, whether from government or from private foundations.
The SBA is a great source for business grants of all kinds. While the SBA does not typically grant money directly to businesses, it does keep tabs on who is doing exactly that. When we checked recently, there were literally thousands of business grants up for grabs in all manner of industry.
Speaking of the SBA, the loans granted through banks with SBA backing are often referred to as "free government business loans". They are not technically "free" -- there are interest charges. But because the SBA guarantees these loans, they are typically less expensive than non-SBA guaranteed loans.
No matter what avenue of funding you pursue, from outright grants to bank loans to even angel investment, the first thing that you will need is a strong business plan. There is just no way to "talk" your idea through any agency or lending institution. It takes paper. Hundreds or even thousands of businesses are competing against you for the same money. The better the grant or loan, the more competition you will have. Having your business plan in hand, with the confidence that it is strong, makes all the difference in the world.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes
in to us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it
pours itself in our hands and hopes we've learnt something from
yesterday.
