7 Step Cafe Business Plan

We all have a favorite cafe.  And that is the real secret to writing a cafe business plan.  Everyone, including your banker, has a favorite cafe.  Elicit the memory of that cafe in your presentation.  It is not as difficult as you think.  Here's how:

First, recognize the diversity of cafes that already exist.  Perhaps a collage of pictures, or a listing of names, or a map showing where they are located would work.

Then ask, in bold font:  And yet another cafe?  Yes!

Then explain how your cafe stands out from the crowd.

• Does it have a unique location?
• Does it have unique clientele, like college kids or business people?
• Does it carry the theme of a shopping area, like a Little Italy?

Whatever it is, make it unique.  Make it yours.

Then, in one swoop, you've got the memory of your banker's favorite cafe AND the plan for your unique cafe all pulled together.  It works like a charm.
