From Mortgage Broker to Mortgage Banker Business Plan

by mike
(providence, RI USA)

I'm transitioning from mortgage broker to mortgage banker and need a biz plan in order to get the warehouse lines of credit I need. So I'm not writing it in order to get funding or for investments, only to convince a warehouse lender that we will make the line work for us. What do you have?

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Mortgage Banker Business Plan

Mike, I suspect that your challenge may be more sophisticated than most, and that you will be dealing in larger numbers than most. Essentially, however, your challenge is common to most business plans: convince a third party that you are the best company for the job. Most business plans don't get funded because they are really "OK". With our current financial market, business plans need to be outstanding, and yours if no exception to that. You need all the elements of a strong business plan, targeted to your specific needs.

I would suggest that you look at either the 7 Step Basic Business Plan or the 7 Step Business Services Business Plan . Both contain samples of other financial related companies that may give you some good ideas on how best to present yourself.
