I Have To Convice a Rival of My Plan

Hey, I am a graduate student majoring in business. We have been given an assignment where I have to convince my competitors(like wendy's or burger king) that a single line system for the crowd will reduce chaos because in multiple lines people concentrate more on their position in the line rather than on what they have to order.I need to write a letter to my competitiors convincing them of the plan.I would be happy if you could help me with this by giving me the outline of the letter and things to be kept in mind. Sep 30, 2009 Business Letter by: Janna I do think that is a strange assignment. Why would you want to convince a competitor that there is a good idea he hasn't implemented? Or is this a devious way of getting your competitor to do something ridiculous? If that's what it is, it is REALLY a dumb school assignment. At any rate, if I were writing such a letter, I would make it short and sweet. First paragraph: Simply state the issue and why I care about it, and why they should care about it. Second paragraph: Provide documentation that is available. Third paragraph: "I hope this has been helpful..." If you have lots of reasons, you might list them out, with a bit of documentation for each item.
