A kids gym business plan could be for a children's gym or a toddler gym or kids gymnastics, or whole lots more.

Nail It Right Up Front

Credentials are important, yes.  But watch what kind of credentials you are presenting.  A high school track star from 20 years ago is not a candidate for operating a kid's gym facility.  A trained pro who has students who have succeeded is a much better candidate.

Try to step into your banker's shoes.  Or a parent's shoes.  Who do you want training your child on some very sophisticated equipment?  Present yourself as THAT person right off the bat.  It is nice if you live in the community.  It is nice if you have gold medals.  But those really take second place to being a trained coach with successful students.

Sometimes it is difficult tooting our own horn.  Try this:

Although I am proud of my own gold medals, I am most proud of the ten Olympic and national gold medals that my students have earned.

On the cover put a photo of your winning team holding their medals.

In your biographical summary, focus on the training courses you have personally taken, and those you have taught.  The more "pro" you are, the better.

Use the community connection, saying "I am proud to have brought a bit of notice to this community through its internationally recognized youth gymnastics programs".

The more you praise "your" kids, the better your kids gym business plan will be.  Building your business plan around your kids and your community is a real win-win-win scenario.
