SBA Latina Programs Are
Growing More And More Influential
SBA Latina Programs are finally
getting the attention they deserve.
The SBA Latina Programs
introduced in San Diego, California, are only the latest in a surge in
interest in this very prominent business demographic group.
The U.S. Small Business
Administration (SBA) and the National Latina Business Women Association of San
Diego (NLBWA-SD) signed an agreement in the summer of 2006 that will allow
both organizations to work together to improve Latina business access to
technological information.
The agreement provides greater
access to educational opportunities and SBA resources.
More importantly, it also
provides maximum financial opportunities and training to Latina women
entrepreneurs.
Dr. Ruben Garcia, district director of the
SBA's San Diego office, is very impressed with the work being accomplished by
the NLBWA, and with their excellent leadership.
The NLBWA is dedicated to helping Latina
women take their place as business owners.
There is good reason why SBA Latina programs
are capturing the interest of the SBA. Latina business ownership is the
fastest growing segment of business growth in the entire U.S., surpassing that
of women in general, and every other defined ethnic group.
The SBA Latina program, and others like it,
are designed to assist in that amazing growth.
