pls i hv my license as cosmotologist and i want to start my small business but i need a grant from the government to start at least to reduce the unemployment saga.

Chinyere, there are few grants available for cosmetologists. You may be able to get some funding assistance via other means, such as:
~ See if there is a Kiva organization in your area. They specialize in small loans for businesses.
~ Check out options for microloans for business.
~ Consider microloans from peers. These are not cheap, but they might be a possibility for you.
~ Talk to your local SBA office about government programs through the state or city that might help small business people.

~ If there is a community resource center in your area for businesses, go talk to them. They may be able to direct you to the right people.

Very often it is simply a matter of being able to reach the right person or organization that can help you get a small business loan or community grant. Good luck on your search.
